Molecular Devices SpectraMax M2 Multimode Microplate Reader

The Molecular Devices SpectraMax M2 Multimode Microplate Reader is a versatile dual-monochromator detection system designed for absorbance and fluorescence-based assays in life science research laboratories. The SpectraMax M2 platform provides flexible wavelength selection without filters, enabling researchers to optimize excitation and emission settings for a wide range of fluorophores and assay conditions.

Compatible with 6- to 384-well microplates, the SpectraMax M2 combines microplate reading with a dual-mode cuvette port for additional sample analysis. With integrated PathCheck pathlength correction and SoftMax Pro data acquisition software, the system provides accurate quantification and advanced data analysis for applications including ELISA assays, nucleic acid and protein quantitation, enzyme kinetics, and fluorescence-based biochemical assays.

The dual-monochromator optical system allows rapid method development and assay optimization by eliminating the need for fixed filters, while supporting endpoint, kinetic, spectral scanning, and well-scanning read modes for both absorbance and fluorescence detection.
